Therapeutic hypnosis: What is it?

Hypnosis is a modified state of consciousness, a state of calm and relaxation in which the electrical frequency of brain waves is slowed down.

Certain areas of the brain, different from the waking state, are activated, while other areas are more at rest. This very pleasant state enables us to communicate with the subconscious, which is then very receptive, in order to mobilize internal resources and carry out the reprogramming necessary for better overall functioning and well-being.

Behavioral studies show us that the vast majority of our decisions are taken by our subconscious: we think we're deciding with our reason, our logic and our will, but it's largely our instincts, our emotions, our conditioning and our emotions that guide us.

The subconscious, the zone of our mind located deep inside, beyond the conscious, is our intimate memory: it forgets nothing! It's built up from all the experiences, sensations and emotions we've lived through since birth (and even since the gestation period). It's like a memory card, a program printed deep inside us, and when we integrate difficult or painful events, it continues to condition us without our knowing it. It's the world of imagination and creativity that becomes reality! By re-establishing the link with the subconscious, we can deprogram certain automatisms, freeing ourselves and making it a precious ally.

We then gain access to a new toolbox that the conscious mind doesn't use, and we regain confidence in our resilience and ability to adapt, while being able to change maladaptive behaviors and find solutions... So by activating our own resources, we realize that we have great inner wealth and much more power than we think.
